FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(SALT LAKE CITY, UT) January 12, 2022 — As part of the new Inspire In Utah initiative, Struck was recognized and highlighted as one of 100 Utah companies that offer family-friendly policies and practices, as well as women-specific initiatives known to impact the recruiting, hiring, retaining, and advancing of women employees, managers, and leaders.
Dr. Susan Madsen’s podcast, Utah Women & Leadership, highlighted Struck’s efforts in an episode released today. Dr. Madsen welcomed Struck President Pauline Ploquin, and Kylie Kullack, Head of Client Engagement as her guests.
Struck is particularly proud of our programs and initiatives including:
Parental Leave. We joined our creative community to improve parental leave benefits by committing to the Pledge Parental Leave. This brings together 20 creative firms, promising to create a new industry standard for family leave in the US. Collectively, they have already impacted 5,244 employees nationally.
Flexible Work Arrangements. Struck is committed to helping employees balance work, family and personal obligations by offering flexible work arrangements. Struck considers part-time or remote work when both the employee and the job are suited to such an arrangement.
Pay Equity Efforts. Struck has implemented a consistent and appropriate compensation program to better attract, motivate, and retain qualified employees, and ensure compliance with best practices.
Diversity & Inclusion. We believe individuals approach problems based on their personal experiences, and better solutions come from harnessing the talents of a diverse team with rich, unique histories of their own. We strive toward creating an environment where people of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, religions, ages, abilities, orientations, social classes, and cultures are met with equity.
Leadership & Professional Development. “Struck Ed” is our branded education, training and workshop program. We aim to develop leaders within Struck, as it is critical to business success. Our leaders play a central role in the development and execution of our organizational strategy, company culture and day-to-day operations.
“We are honored by this recognition of our efforts as a company and an industry,” said Struck president Pauline Ploquin. “I am very grateful for the mentors who helped me overcome the barriers of being a woman in a man’s world every step of the way. When we support women in leadership, we support the whole family and in turn our entire community. We encourage others to apply and join this growing list of companies who champion women.”
Additionally, one of our Mom’s added: “As the mother of two little kids, and the wife of a (med school) resident, I need as much trust, support and flexibility as I can get. And I get all of that at Struck.”
